The conference takes place at the Department of English (Nadelberg 6, Basel) in the Grosser Hörsaal ("great lecture hall") on the ground floor of the courtyard building. For more information on the history of the buildings cf. historical note.

Getting there

• from Basel SBB (Swiss train station)
• from Basel Badischer Bahnhof (German train station)
• from EuroAirport Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg

The nearest airport is the EuroAirport Basel/Mulhouse/Freiburg. Taxis are expensive in Switzerland,  but your hotel booking confirmation should double as a ticket for the use of public transport (bus & tram) for transfer from Basel airport/train stations to the hotel on the day of arrival.

Note that most international flights arrive at Zürich Airport. However, if you book with the airline SWISS, the train fare from Zürich to Basel is included in the fare when choosing Basel as your final destination. Direct trains from Zürich airport to Basel main station leave every hour. You can buy your ticket (approx. CHF 25-41 for a 2nd-class one-way full price ticket) at the airport on the train level. (Note that you cannot purchase tickets on the train).
