Profile Dr. Zeynep Köylü

Having completed her MA degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Bilkent University, Turkey, Zeynep received her Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Instructional Technology from the University of South Florida in December 2016 as a Fulbright scholar. Afterwards, she worked as an assistant professor of TESOL at İzmir Bakırçay University, where she also directed the School of Foreign Languages.

Zeynep teaches BA and MA courses in Second Language acquisition (SLA), Applied Linguistics and English Linguistics. Her research interests include SLA, cognitive and psycholinguistic aspects of linguistic development in different learning contexts (especially study abroad), corpus linguistics, code-switching, and computer-assisted language teaching and learning.

Zeynep is an active member of American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL) and Fulbright Alumni Association.
