Prof. Dr. Franziska Gygax gives her valedictory lecture performance
She is joined by her son, the actor Jonas Gygax, for an exciting lecture performance on Gertrude Stein.
Prof. Dr. Franziska Gygax, our esteemed colleague for two decades, gave her farewell lecture on a writer close to her heart: "The Sense of an Ending and Beginning and Beginning and Beginning and Beginning: Gertrude Stein and Life Writing." This was no common valedictory lecture but an exciting performance staged together with her son Jonas Gygax, a professional actor. The Department of English thanks Prof. Gygax wholeheartedly for her many years of dedicated service and commitment; she will be sorely missed.
