Literature in the Digital Age: from Close Reading to Distant Reading
Prof. Philipp Schweighauser's 'Massive Open Online Course' (MOOC) starts on 15 March 2021.
This free online course reflects on the means that help us understand literary texts, how we interpret them and how our increasing use of electronic devices changed the way we read and interpret literature. It introduces participants to a variety of ways of interpreting literary texts, looking into time-tested methods such as close reading and also addressing more recent practices such as computer-based distant reading.
