T.S. Eliot and the Rise of the Poet Critic
This talk traces the relevance of TS. Eliot’s work (including such key concepts as “tradition,” “the objective correlative,” and “impersonality”) for the academicization of literary studies and the institutionalization of the poet critic as a representative figure in the twentieth-century literary field.
