This conference presents the results of MA students' research emerging from a seminar taught jointly/in parallel at Freiburg/Br. (Prof. Barbara Korte) and Basel (Prof. Ina Habermann). This proved a very successful format, and we can look forward to a great variety of high quality talks on the state of the art of travel writing with an emphasis on British depictions of Europe.
