Indigiqueer Poetics as Felt Theory: Arielle Twist’s Affective Worldings

Prof. Dr. Ho’esta Mo’e’hahne (University of California, Los Angeles)

This lecture will provide a critical introduction to Indigiqueerness as sites of resistant world-creation/worlding, connection, and knowledge sharing in the contemporary Indigenous literatures and expressive cultures of Anglophone North America. We contemplate how the transdisciplinary artist Arielle Twist’s (George Gordon First Nation and Sipekne’katik First Nation, Cree) poems unfurl worlds of mourning and creation.
